In New Hampshire, if you want to
track and shoot moose, you have to request for a permit from the Fish
and Game Department to hunt this majestic animal between the dates of
October 18, 2009 to October 26, 2009. Although this red tape may be
annoying, hunting moose in the wild is never a dull thing to do.
The reason why most experienced
hunters love to track moose is because of their ability to provide a
rather enjoyable game of cat and mouse. The moose has an acute sense of
smell, sight, hearing and flight that the slightest movement may cause
the moose to run away. Also, the terrain where the moose usually stays
is not at all an open field where you can fire a shot just like that.
The moose is usually hidden behind a thicket so dense, if your sight is
not as sharp as an eagle’s you will end up not seeing it at all.
If you are already in the mood for
some moose hunting but you cannot wait for the hunting season, you may
want to consider some moose hunting games that you can download online
or buy from your local gaming shops. There is one particular hunting
game, called Hunting Unlimited 2009, that will allow you to not only
hunt moose, it gives the option to track deer, elk, bear and even
cougar if you feel like it. It is very real and its “bullet camera,” a
camera that will allow you to view the action on a bullets-eye view,
makes the game very worth your while.
