We all know that kids
nowadays spend most of their time in front
of the boob tube, playing their ear
shattering action games or they are in
front of their computers, tapping away and
chatting with friends online. The young
generation nowadays have little or no
experience in the great outdoors, smelling
the fresh pine air, feeling the nippy
coldness of a forest morning. Often times,
the only air they get to inhale is the
regurgitated air conditioner air.
So how do you introduce the
outdoors to your kids? Do you force them to go
to a hunting trip with you? This may work, if
you want them to abhor the outdoors. As the
saying goes, if you cannot beat them, join them
and use their weakness to your advantage. The
best way of introducing the outdoors and more
specifically, hunting ducks or waterfowl is to
have them experience it first in a media they
are most familiar with, gaming.
There are several computer
waterfowl games that you can buy over the
internet or at your local computer gaming shop
that will introduce and hopefully get your kids
hooked with the idea of going outdoors and
doing some actual physical activity.
An example of a great
waterfowl game is the Ultimate Duck Hunting
Game that you can play using the computer. It
allows you to not only experience hunting
ducks; it also allows you to train your
retrieving dog. So if you want to start
introducing the wild outdoors to your children,
better start with a familiar territory they can
relate to.
